What if my street has no parking?
Most West Philly and Center City blocks need a temporary no-parking permit from the Philadelphia Parking Authority, pulled a few days ahead. We'll tell you whether your block needs one and walk you through getting it. Without a spot near the door, a long carry adds real time to the bill.
Can you move me on the first of the month?
Yes, but book early. September 1st in University City and the first weekend of every month citywide are the busiest days in Philadelphia moving, and the good time slots go weeks ahead.
Will my sofa fit up the stairs?
Tell us the piece and send a photo of the staircase and we'll tell you honestly before move day. Philadelphia trinity houses and subdivided Victorians defeat a lot of modern furniture. If it won't go up the stairs we'll say so, and we'll talk about whether it can go through a window or come apart.
Do you move on weekends and evenings?
Yes. Weekends fill up first, and evening moves work well for apartment buildings that restrict freight elevator hours during the day.
