One couch, one piano, one appliance — or two movers to load the truck you already rented.
Not every move is a whole house. A lot of our work in West Philadelphia is one heavy thing: a sleeper sofa bought off Marketplace in Fishtown that needs to get to a third floor in Spruce Hill, an upright piano, a washer coming out of a basement. We also do labor-only — you rent the truck or the container, and we bring the muscle, the dollies, and the knowledge of how to pack a load so it doesn't shift.
What's included
- ✓ Two experienced movers, a truck sized for the piece, and all the blankets, straps, and dollies
- ✓ Pickup from a store, a warehouse, or a stranger's living room, and delivery into the room you want it
- ✓ Stair carries — including third-floor walk-ups, which is most of what we do
- ✓ Load-only or unload-only help if you've rented a truck, a trailer, or a portable container
- ✓ Careful handling of awkward single pieces: pianos, safes, treadmills, appliances, oversized art
- ✓ Removal of doors or a banister where that's the only way a piece clears, then putting them back
How it works
- 1 Send us the item, both addresses, and how many flights of stairs are at each end.
- 2 We give you a flat price or a short hourly minimum, whichever is cheaper for the job.
- 3 We show up with the right equipment for that specific piece rather than whatever's on the truck.
- 4 We wrap it, move it, and set it where you want it — including up the stairs.

Frequently asked
Is there a minimum for a single item?
Yes, usually a two-hour minimum, which for most single-item jobs covers the whole thing including drive time. For a straightforward pickup and delivery we'll often quote a flat price instead so you know the number exactly.
Can you do labor-only if I've rented a U-Haul or a PODS container?
Yes, and it's a good way to cut the cost of a move. You provide the truck or container; we load it properly, which matters more than most people expect. A badly packed load shifts, and things break on I-76 rather than on the stairs.
Can you move a piano?
Upright pianos, yes — tell us the model and how many stairs are involved and we'll confirm before booking. Grands and very large uprights we'll be straight with you about, and we'll say so rather than find out on the day.
Will you pick something up from a seller for me?
Yes. We do a lot of Facebook Marketplace and estate-sale pickups across the city. Give us the seller's address, the window they'll be home, and where it's going.
